@heidilifeldman Climate Defiance has now committed to go after Schumer with one of their nonviolent direct actions if they can raise $10k to cover expenses by the end of today. They've made a name for themselves by going after sellout Dems. Contribution link here:

“No #democracy movement has ever failed when it was able to mobilize at least 3.5 % of the population to #protest over a sustained period At that scale, most soldiers have no desire to suppress protesters. Why? Because the crowd includes family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. With a population of 327 million, the U.S. would need to mobilize about 11.5 million people to assert popular, democratic power on the government.”

There are SO MANY protests taking place in Washington DC these days, but I haven't heard of any that are specifically in opposition to the United States interfering with the sovereignty of Canada, Greenland, and/or Panama. I feel compelled to publicly express strong opposition to the idea of our government invading, annexing, or threatening countries that have done nothing to harm us. Does anyone in Washington DC know of any suitable protests?
UPDATE: Musk attacks Musk Watch
https://www.muskwatch.com/p/update-musk-attacks-musk-watch
"the Musk Watch #DOGE Tracker... authoritatively demonstrated that #ElonMusk had been grossly overstating the cuts implemented by DOGE...
#Musk offered no actual critique of the Musk Watch DOGE Tracker's methodology...
Musk Watch is a four-person team, but we can rock the boat of the wealthiest and most powerful man in the world."
My latest: Last year, I covered the chaos as a peaceful protest for #Palestine at the University of Texas at #Austin was attacked by state troopers and local police. Unknown to me, a respected UT professor I'd interviewed for other stories was also there, and was about to have an encounter with cops that would cost him his career.
Today, Austin Free Press is releasing video from that incident showing the trooper deliberately shoving him multiple times. https://austinfreepress.org/days-of-rage/
Out today at Austin Free Press: Respected UT professor Richard Heyman was arrested and lost his job after an altercation with police at a protest for #Palestine last year. Newly released video shows the Texas state trooper deliberately shoving Heyman multiple times. https://austinfreepress.org/days-of-rage/
Hey #TeslaTakedown, I created a short zine on tactics you can use at protests if you're getting harassed by unwanted people with cameras (i.e. Wannbe Infowars dudes, aka media trolls)...
I think y'all might be needing this soon.

it's #WorldDayAgainstCyberCensorship and did you know that you can help keep people safer—people like freedom fighters, political dissidents, journalists, and regular people simply seeking medical information or services, like abortions, HRT, sex ed, therapy, or psychiatric medications—by becoming a @torproject Snowflake?
you can even run it in your browser or on your phone via @guardianproject's Orbot app

Trump's Tesla PR campaign just made an ominous turn:
'Trump floats labeling Tesla dealership protesters 'domestic terrorists'
"If you storm the Capitol and kill police officers you’re a patriot.
But if you protest Tesla dealerships you’re a domestic terrorist."
-Capt Obvious
If Trump declares that protesters are domestic terrorists...

The UK Crime and Policing Bill will create a vast facial recognition database of over 55 million driving licences and ban face coverings at protest
This would be the biggest biometric database ever created in the UK for policing.
With other rights groups, we're telling politicians to stop the expansion of police surveillance powers
Read the joint briefing
Continuing the facade that the UK doesn’t have an identity without the royals is just nonsense.
Without them, the UK’s money would be well better invested, especially when the Duchy properties are seized, and a proper elected head of state can be achieved.
Make Rexit (Royal Exit) happen!
As Liberty have pointed out, yesterday Labour revived a Tory policy as part of the new Crime & Policing Bill; there is a revival of the attempt to ban face-coverings at protests, which, would seem to me, to be a classic case of a technological shift driving policy.
In the past, the police would have to identify a 'person of interest' catch them & ask them to remove their mask, now with facial recognition technology they need to forbid mask wearing.

Protest?
#Protest.
Yes. But understand the risk.
Hope for change. Prepare for consequences.
Pursue long-term vision rather than short-term demands.
Take the chance. Great risk, carefully balanced, can bring great reward.
Impatient negotiations are obvious.
Musk's Tesla facilities in US face 'Takedown' protests
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cnvze9dzq8vo
" #Tesla facilities across the #US are facing protests and vandalism in response to the political role #ElonMusk... has played in the #Trump administration.
Most #TeslaTakedown protests have been peaceful, but a few have been destructive with fires intentionally set at Tesla showrooms and charging stations in #Colorado & #Massachusetts last week."
Anger at Elon Musk turns violent with molotov cocktails and gunfire at Tesla lots
The string of violence against Tesla storefronts, charging stations and #vehicles exacerbates the company’s woes, analysts said.

"more than a dozen #violent or destructive acts have been directed at Tesla facilities...
with vandalism directed at #Tesla storefronts, charging stations and vehicles."
