Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif is the Banana #Toronto cocktail from Difford's Guide

50ml bourbon
15ml banana liqueur
7,5ml Fernet Branca
2 dashes Angostura bitter
2 drops of saline solution

Stirr&Strain in a chilled coupe and garnish with a spirited cherry

It's a good cocktail, but better as an after dinner than as aperitif.

Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif (s) are a couple of #directmartini

The first is a big surprise: made with frozen Xoriguer gini is intense and deeply satisfying;
The other one (petit serve) is made with Killowen frozen overproof gin to conclude the concoctions.

Both of them are poured ina frozen coupe coated with Bordiga dry vermouth and garnish with a lemon twist.

Absolute perfection.

@JimRion great read! And makes me look forward even more to opening the Kenbishi bottle (among others) that I got back to Pittsburgh with me.
I was at the (State controlled) wine store on Sat and took a pic of these to look up. Don't see too much variety here in PA, so it was good to see these.

Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif is a twist of the #penicillin, the #modernmedicine: 45ml bourbon 15ml orange aperitif 22,5ml lemon juice 15ml simple sirup 2 dashes of Angostura bitter Islay peated whisky to float Shake the first 5 ingredients and strain in a tumbler with a big chunk of ice, add a barspoon of peated whisky to float and garnish with a lemon twist. Great aperitif indeed! Highly recommended! @drinkstodon@a.gup.pe #cocktail #cocktails #mixologist #mixology #homebarista #homebar #drink #drinks #food #drinkporn
Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif is an Agricòle Martini dry:

60ml rhum agricòle Dillon 55°
30ml dry vermouth
2 dashes olive bitter

Stirr&Strain and garnish with an olive.

It's an excellent cocktail, just be sure not to use an high ester agricòle (mine was a bit overwhelming).

The kick of the high abv was really pleasant, tough.

Hey Teastodon, I'm looking to find some new brews. To that end, I was hoping you would list your three favorite teas. I'm not really interested in the whole tea/tisane debate so feel free to list your favorite herbal teas as well. I'll get started...

1. Assam (Banaspaty). Rich and malty. Stands up well to (soy) milk.

2. Jasmine green pearls. Sweet and flowery. Great with boba.

3. Honeybush. Deep honey/flower flavor. Good for bedtime.

Please boost for reach.

Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif is a #martinidry:

60ml overproof gin
15ml gran quinquina white Cap Corse
A barspoon of olive brine.

Stirr&Strain in a chilled coupe and garnish with an olive.

A great #Martini, looking forward to try the original recipe with the olive bitter and the Sipsmith gin!
Highly recommended.

It's impossible to mention sweet tea without talking about the Southern United States. But how did one sugared drink become synonymous with an entire regional identity? For one, it’s hot down there. “Do not underestimate the importance of a cooling beverage in the South,” says Robert F. Moss, restaurant critic and a contributing editor to Southern Living. @foodandwine has more on the origins of sweet tea and its presence in Southern culture. flip.it/q2YufH

Food & WineHow Sweet Tea Became the Signature Drink of the SouthIt's impossible to mention sweet tea without talking about the South. But how did an entire region come to be associated with a combination of sugar and tea? Here's how 200 years of Southern history created an indelible shared cultural identity.
