I've updated the DEI tracker. Not many new sources, media's attention span is short. But I did validate a Reddit list of companies holding the line.

We see the effect the #Tesla boycott is having. Let's not only punish companies backing away from diversity but also reward those courageously upholding it.

From what I found there are more #heroes than #cowards. If true, that's an unreported story!

Some, of course, like Walgreens, are bending but not breaking.

"The extraordinary public appeal was signed by Lloyd Austin, Jim Mattis, Chuck Hagel, Leon Panetta and William Perry — who served in Republican and Democratic administrations dating back to the 1990s — after Trump’s Friday night firings caused an uproar on Capitol Hill and among many military veterans.

“We are deeply alarmed by President Trump’s recent dismissals of several senior U.S. military leaders,” the letter opens. “We write to urge the U.S. Congress to hold Mr. Trump to account for these reckless actions and to exercise fully its Constitutional oversight responsibilities.”

The Washington Post · Former defense chiefs denounce Trump’s ‘reckless’ Pentagon firingsBy Dan Lamothe

"While the network has said Trump’s complaints are “completely without merit” and legal experts have described his suit as “frivolous and dangerous,” Paramount executives feel like a settlement would increase the chances of the Trump administration approving a pending merger with Skydance Media."

Wonder many of these companies that settle are soon to find out all they did was fuck around?

But a top official was notably absent: #RFKJr, #Trump’s pick to lead the Department of #Health & Human Services [#HHS], the pivotal agency when a #pandemic strikes.

“The one guy who should’ve been there wasn’t there,” said one attendee, who, like several others [#cowards], spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private session led by the #NationalSecurity Council [#NSC]. Most of those attendees said they were mystified by Kennedy’s absence & wondered where he was.

While newsrooms like those at the L.A. Times and Washington Post are full of dedicated career journalists, Big Newspaper and billionaires own the presses their fishwrap is printed on.

It disgusts me as a career journalist that these RW owners refuse to endorse Harris over a convicted felon and obvious fascist. Read the room, assholes.

I do not subscribe to either but if I did, that would end today.

MSNBC · Billionaire cowardice led to The Washington Post, L.A. Times non-endorsementsBy Jarvis DeBerry

@McSpocky Wow, Lawrence O’Donnell was on point and amazing.

All this, especially about how the networks jumped to give Trump more than an hour live and then did not cover VP Harris (which they knew in advance had been scheduled). They did this exactly with Hillary Clinton, Trump would throw something last minute to disrupt her coverage and the #media jumped each time. #MediaFail #FeatureNotABug #Cowards
