If you're in the market for a pannier that can hold your box of pastries flat, I can recommend the "Red Rebane Purist EXO"
(Looks like it's been redesigned as the "EXO - MAX" since I got this one)

It was a perfect day for a bike ride down to Wolf Lake, and a lunch at the Fisheries. #chicago #photography #bikechi
Did an early morning bike ride up to Botanical Gardens in Glencoe. I always forget how pretty Northwestern's campus is. #bikechi #chicago #photography
Story time:
Out on my e-bike making a run for coffee beans yesterday morning. On a bike/walk trail, I noticed something go flying off the bike of someone riding ahead of me. I call out, but get no response. Stop by the object that fell, it's a fancy folding lock. Stuck it in my basket and try to chase down the person who dropped it. I'm on a class-3 e-bike, so I'm gaining on straightaways but this rider is really tooting along and I fall behind in turns. #BikeTooter #bikechi #bikewinter
When the universe gives you a flat tire literally on the approach to Calumet Fisheries, at 10:02am, the universe has just given you permission to have LUNCH at 10:02am. #bikechi #chicago #BikeTooter

It’s an absolutely beautiful day in Chicago. Currently watching two little kids try to catch pigeons.
Take some time today to appreciate where you are and what you have. Gratitude is a magnet for blessings.
That was a fun ride. Stay safe out there north side lakefront #bikechi folks. Temp drop feels nice, tho, but that's some nasty wind.
“I’m working on a story about pedestrian/bicyclist safety and I’m interested in speaking with someone who has been hit by a vehicle as a pedestrian or bicyclist in the city, and who possibly also is working to advocate for improvements in safety.” — Kade Hunter, Chicago Sun Times ( kheather at suntimes dot com )
This has been a problem for years. I've always wondered how many of these bikes are at the bottom of the lake.

My coworker JC and I put in a last big ride before the #ScenicShore150 next weekend. It's a 150-mile bike ride spread over 2 days in support of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We'll be riding along with others from the #legaltech space - but you probably won't see us given our prairie flower camouflage!

A few highlights of my ride in this morning. Seemed to be mostly Cragin/Logan that had damage. Saw one small tree down on the 606, but was motoring and missed stopping for shot. #bikechi #Chicago #logansquare #belmontcragin #tornados
